My story

Eighties babies will certainly look back on the PBS show and book series, “Arthur,” with great fondness and nostalgia. Arthur (an aardvark) and his group of anthropomorphic animal friends experienced the ups and downs of grade-school life, friendship and family together. Francine was a favorite character, an outspoken monkey who was a great athlete, singer, and a good friend who could be counted on during hard times. Our sweet girl Francine promises to stick by her furever family through thick and thin- she’s just waiting to meet you!Francine recently had the opportunity to go on a day trip with a community member, enjoying a hike, walking around the U of A campus, snuggling in bed, and just relaxing away from the shelter. Here’s what her new friend said: “Francine loves to lounge around and was fine left in my room for short periods of time. She’s a loving, snuggly cuddle bug!”A volunteer friend shared that Francine is easy to handle and enjoys being out of her kennel. She likes treats, takes them gently and sits without being asked. Francine shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has social when meeting other dogs in playgroup. While Francine can’t boast of her singing skills or athletic prowess, she’s hoping that her top-notch snuggling skills will win you over. Come meet her and see what makes her such a beloved pup!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt FRANCINE*, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
