My story

    HELLOOOOOOOO! My name is Guiness and I am a gorgeous ten-month-old puppy! I’m not sure of my weight, maybe 55 pounds, but I’m already a tall, lean, muscular, and handsome guy! And I’ve got the bark to match!  As a hound dog, I was bred for work, so I am very energetic. I love to go on long walks, and I love to zoom around the backyard in the evenings. In between, I am very curious and like to know what you’re doing if you’ve got a few minutes to entertain me. I would do best with someone who leads an active lifestyle and has a big backyard for me to run around in. (I’m definitely too big for an apartment, and so is my bark!). I am very affectionate and loyal.  One of my favorite things to do is put my paws up on your shoulders and give you kisses. On the occasions when I’m not full of energy, I like to watch you cook or watch TV with you. I’m also an excellent nap companion!  I’m still working on my manners and don’t really know my own size yet, so I’d be better with older kids. I’m also good with other dogs, but because I’m pretty big, they might be intimidated, even though I mean well!  My foster family says that I’m very smart and that I love to learn new tricks! So far, I know "sit" and "shake," and when I hear "crate," I run to my crate. I’m very attentive, though, so if you’ve got the patience to teach me, I can learn a lot more!  Interested?
