My story

Meet Orange Ginger! Orange Ginger is an angel. She's been loving her new foster home and is becoming more and more comfortable acclimating to her new enviornment every day. She does not like staying in the crate overnight/or being alone for long periods of time because of her past neglect. She sleeps in bed because she's a cuddler and will try to get your attention if she's not being snuggled. She's very smart and picks up on things quickly. She is blind in one eye, so sometimes she comes across as ditsy, but really she's just getting an understanding of her surroundings and quite frankly... it's adorable. She's a bit of a velcro dog/has some separation anxiety because she loves her people. Personality & Characteristics: She's spunky, curious and as sweet as can be. Always wants to snuggle and know that her people are close by. My foster dog is good with: People and is okay with other dogs! Hasn't been tested around kids but this girl is chill. My foster dog is: Medium shed3 Keywords for your pup: Chill, sweet, lovebug Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 4Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Quiet pup, barks when left aloneWalking Manners: Good! Although she's a little all over the place when she stops at every door where she can see her reflection. She wont tug (too much) on the leash or jump up on people around her and if she's sniffing something bad if you tell her to "leave it", she listens and moves on. Because she can't see out of her one eye, she's always stopping and turning her head to see everything around her. She's a southern gal and does not like to stay outside too long in the cold.Appetite: Good! We're getting her used to eating 3 times a day (kibble & pumpkin, but will eat anything)Favorite Things: Looking at her reflection in the mirror, chin and head scratches & snugglingCommands/Tricks: Currently learning the basics (sit, down, etc.) ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
