My story

Meet Maple Walnut! Maple is the sweetest girl with gorgeous amber eyes and a goofy personality. She has come a long way from being abandoned in Georgia but she's taking on NYC with stride! She loves people, treats, smelling all the smells in the park, but most of all cuddles. Maple is fully housetrained. She sleeps through the night and for a lot of the day. Although the would be the happiest cuddled up next to you all day, she'll enjoy her peanut butter fillerd-kong while you go to work and welcome you back with the best wiggly nub. Maple has no signs of resource guarding and takes treats from your hand gently on her hind legs like a penguin. She is super food motivated so any kind of training should be a breeze. Maple needs slow introductions to all animals but already lived with dogs and cats.  My foster dog is: House and crate trained, and she's low shed. Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 3 Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: She will cry for attention occasionally and barks when she gets overly excited. Walking Manners: She is still learning how to walk on a leash - loves all the city smells and used to pull to say hi to all people and dogs. With treats, she's learning to focus on the handler and keep close. Since she loves attention and treats, in no time she'll be walking on a leash like a pro! Appetite: LOVES food Commands/Tricks: knows Sit, Let's go, No and Down (work in progress). Food motivated so will learn all the commands quite fast.   ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
