My story

***Potential adopters must fill out the questionnaire at the end of the bio and forward it to graciabutter@gmail.com. Meet Bruce! Bruce is a 1 year old, 75lb, happy-go-lucky, staffy mix. You would never know by his demeanor that, until he was rescued, he lived in a dirty crate with no bedding for most of his short life. He is a happy boy and he thinks that he is a lap dog. Bruce gets along well with other dogs once he gets to know them. He currently lives in a foster home with dogs ranging in size from 5lbs to 75 lbs and he is gentle with the littles. When meeting a new dog, he can get a bit over-stimulated so he needs to be introduced slowly. Bruce doesn’t know his size and can be a bull in a china shop so we feel that he would do best in a home without young children and with someone who has experience with large breed dogs. He’s a diamond in the rough with so much potential to be your perfect companion. This goofy boy will definitely melt your heart and give you years of big sloppy kisses. Bruce is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Animal Rescue Recon ensures that each dog is current on its vaccinations, has been or will be spayed or neutered, and is microchipped to help keep pets out of the shelters and get them back home where they belong. ****Answers to the questionnaire must be emailed to GraciaButter@gmail.com. If so, what type/breed? • How often will the dog be exercised? • If the dog becomes ill or injured are you financially prepared to provide medical care? • Are you prepared to care for this dog for its life span of 10+ years? • Do you have a training plan? Please explain. • Do you have a plan in place if something happens and you can no longer care for the dog? • Before adoption, an up-close video of your fenced yard will be required - the entire perimeter including gates and the bottom of the fencing. The yard must be free of foxtails and fully secured. • Home check may be performed • If "meet & greet" is scheduled, all household members, dogs included, must be present. Our adoption fee is $350 The fee covers having the dog fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
