My story

Wildflower is a gorgeous 4-year-old cat with a story as beautiful as her name. Found as a stray, she came to Anderson Humane quite shy and nervous, but thanks to her amazing foster mom and calm/loving environment, she’s blossomed into a sweet, affectionate, and playful kitty. Wildflower has made incredible progress—she now loves rolling around to ask for pets, especially head and back scratches, and even surprises her foster mom with belly rolls when she feels safe. She’s also quite the little entertainer, happily chasing and retrieving her toy mice like a dog—though she’ll politely pass on wand toys. While she may not be a lap cat just yet (and isn’t a fan of being picked up), Wildflower has so much love to give once she trusts you. She’d thrive in a calm, quiet home where her gentle personality can shine. She can coexist with other animals and has even handled life with an older small dog and cats, though she’d prefer a peaceful environment without young children. Sometimes she’ll meow to get your attention, but once you reassure her, she settles quickly. Wildflower is a truly special cat who has overcome so much—now she’s ready to find a forever family that will give her the patience, love, and security she deserves. Our cats & kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
