My story

Meet Manchego! Manchego entered Los Angeles Animal Care and Control - Lancaster Shelter as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him on January 20th to become a Frosted Face. Manchego is estimated to be 7 years old, and he weighs 108 lbs. Manchego is a very sweet gentle giant who would love nothing more than a big couch and a human to snuggle with. He is great with other dogs, both big and small, and cats, too! Manchego walks nicely on leash and rides calmly in the car. He's the total package! Manchego is currently on a second Frosted Fling, and as with the first, he is earning another rave review! His current Fling Mom reports: "Manchego really is just the easiest going guy. He is an incredibly mellow boy who loves to sunbathe and snooze the day away! Manny loves some good cuddles! He’s more than happy to get pets and will lovingly rest his head in your lap. Manny seems to have a little playful spunk in him! They are very momentary, but occasionally we can get him a little jazzed and he’ll gallop after us. It’s very cute. Manchego enjoys partnering up with our big girl to bark and keep an eye on our backyard - lol! They frequently do this together. Manny is a pro at using the doggy door! He is able to maneuver and get to and from with no issues. He is able to sleep through the night. Manny is respectful of others’ feeding time. He will respect our dogs’ space and is easily redirected. He also likes to let you know when he’s feeling hungry with some barks. Manny has been perfect when left alone. We had dinner at a restaurant for a couple hours, and we gated him off in our hallway. Upon coming home, he was completely chill and there were no accidents. Manny is not currently on any medications and has no major health concerns aside from some stiffer hips. Honestly, this guy is just the best boy and would do well in most homes! He’s just happy to be included and loved on. Will you be Manny’s forever family?" Email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule a time to meet Manchego the Magnificient!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Manchego, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
