Duncan

My story

Duncan is 2-3 years old, fully vetted, neutered, HW negative and microchipped. He appears to be an American Staffordshire mix and has a heart as big as his eyes. Duncan has had a challenging journey so far, which has left him a bit apprehensive in unfamiliar settings. Despite these early hardships, he's flourishing in his foster home, and the echoes of his past are slowly receding. His foster mom attests to his infectious enthusiasm for life, his love for Chuck-It balls, and his insatiable desire for affection that will leave your hands aching! Duncan enjoys the company of other dogs (currently living with two Chihuahuas in foster), children, and even cats, who he respects after a few learning experiences! He's destined to be a fantastic family companion. Gaining Duncan's trust will require some patience and understanding, but once achieved, he will reward you with a lifetime of affection and snuggles. His anxiety may not be immediately evident, but it necessitates patience as he adjusts to his new home. He will appreciate a quiet space to withdraw to when things get a bit too overwhelming. But rest assured, TAA and his foster parents will provide all the necessary support during his transition. Once Duncan feels secure and familiar in his surroundings, you'll witness his true personality unfold. He has a charming, playful side that's simply irresistible, and his ultimate joy is the uncomplicated act of being close to you. He's a treat enthusiast and a devoted fan of extensive petting sessions, and he'll seldom stray far from your side. Duncan has recently completed his private basic obedience training with flying colors, proving to be an intelligent and eager learner. A family willing to continue this training would be ideal for him.Duncan is particularly fond of kids, although ideally those bigger than him, given his muscular build and fondness for playful activities, including daily bouts of the 'zoomies'. If you give him a chance, he will reveal just how extraordinary he is. If you're searching for a dog brimming with love to offer, Duncan could be the perfect new member of your family. Oh, and he will make you laugh out loud every day! We adopt in the DWF area only (within one hours drive from Terrell) as we deliver our pets to their new homes. A fenced yard and vet reference are required.
