My story

Meet Arya! Arya is a sweet natured independent girl who is looking for a special quiet forever family of her own. Arya is initially very shy and avoidant of new people, so is looking for humans with a lot of patience to help her blossom. Arya's favorite things are hiding under the comfort of fuzzy blankets and barking at the world like a proverbial old lady yelling "Get off my lawn!" to every stranger she sees. She LOVES thinking she is "scaring off" all the cars. New environments can be overwhelming, so she takes significantly longer to adjust and get her bearings. Despite her shyness, she does have a sweet, gentle soul, and with time, patience, and understanding, she'll slowly begin to trust and bond with those who respect her need for space, offering affection in her own unique way once she feels comfortable. Arya would love having a respectful and laid-back dog friend to learn from and keep her company, they'll just need to be tolerant of her quirky mannerisms.
