My story

Meet Tiga, a smart, silly, and one-of-a-kind pup with a big personality! Tiga is house-trained and crate-trained (he even sleeps in his crate at night). He knows several commands: kennel, sit, stay, back up, and even bang! and he’s eager to keep learning, especially when treats are involved. He’s very smart, picks things up quickly, and always wants to please. Leash walking is still a work in progress, but with consistency, he’ll get the hang of it. He also has a playful side, he loves toys with stuffing (tearing them apart is the best part!) and squeakers, though you’ll want to supervise so he doesn’t get carried away. He’ll even bump you with his nose when he’s ready for playtime. And when the zoomies hit? That’s usually his signal he needs a potty break! Tiga has some quirks that make him extra special: He’s a cuddler, but only on his own terms. He “talks” sometimes (not barking, just funny vocalizations). When he’s out cold, he’s such a sound sleeper that it can be tough to wake him up. If you’re on your phone, he thinks your attention should be on him instead! When it comes to people, Tiga is always happy to meet strangers. At home, he may bark when someone arrives, but the moment the door opens, his tail starts wagging. He’s learning to sit politely while guests come in. Tiga would do best in a home without young kids, he’s shown nippy behavior around children. He may do well with another dog for company and definitely enjoys spending time outside, so a fenced yard or large pen would help him thrive. He seems especially fond of men and would make a wonderful match for an adult household ready to continue his training. He nips occasionally when oversimpulated, but it’s not aggressive, and he responds well to correction. With the progress he’s already made, we know he’ll keep improving with the right guidance. Tiga is full of heart, brains, and personality. Once you’ve figured out his little quirks, you’ll have a loyal, entertaining, and loving lifelong companion!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tiga, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
