My story

Meet Nasa! Nasa entered San Jacinto Valley Shelter as a stray and sadly, she wasn't claimed. We scooped her up to become a Frosted Face on January 13th. Now, Nasa is a Frosted Face, and she will never be alone and unwanted again! She is estimated to be 10 years old and weighs 12 lbs. Nasa is such a cuddle bug and loves nothing more than being on someone's lap. She gets along well with other dogs of all sizes, too! Nasa recently returned from a Frosted Fling, so we could learn what she was like in a home environment. Here's the scoop from her Fling Mom: "Nasa is an adorable senior full of personality and spunk! Although she has poor eyesight, as she is blind in one eye, that definitely doesn't keep her from getting around. As soon as I brought her home, she made herself completely comfortable and wandered around the house and the backyard with no issues at all. Nasa was great with my adult children and got along well with my other dogs. On walks, she met lots of people and other dogs and did really well with them, too! Nasa is really low-maintenance. She is fully potty trained, easy to walk, eats her food with no issues (is not food aggressive), rarely barks and has no separation anxiety. I bathed her twice with no issues at all! Nasa loves: - long walks around the neighborhood, park, etc. - car rides with her head stuck out the window with the wind blowing across her face (tethered, of course) - cuddling with her human on the sofa or curled up next to him/her - occasionally following her human around the house - rolling around and rubbing her face on the bed - running around in the yard - playing chase with her human - head, ear, and back rubs What Nasa doesn't like due to her poor vision is sudden movements, as they startle her. Similarly, she doesn't like being lifted when she is not expecting it or other sudden handling, as that startles her as well. So being gentle when interacting with her works extremely well. If her human does something she doesn't like, she will definitely let them know. Nasa is a wonderful little girl, and I really loved hanging out with her! She would so love to have a forever family to love and with whom she can share her golden years! If you're looking for a sweet little girl to care for and with whom you can share some wonderful, loving, fun times, Nasa is the little girl for you!" To meet Nasa, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Nasa, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
