NAME: Alvida Sex: Female, spayed Color/Pattern: Tan w black points Breed(s): German shepherd mix Weight: 63lb Size: Medium Coat length: Short-med DOB approx: ~ 11/1/2023 Age at intake: ~ 5 or 6 months Current Age: ~10 mos Intake date: 4/25/2024 to shelter, 7/20 to foster home Description: Alvida is a friendly female German Shepherd Mix who gentle and always smiling. Personality: Alvida loves people and always wants to be around everyone. She is very playful, goofy and sweet. Well behaved and excited to meet new people and animals. She loves to go out on walks and does well with the leash. Alvida is potty trained and walks well in a groups. In her foster home she does really well with children and likes to greet other dogs. She's been very patient with her foster home's 2 year old son. She loves everything she can get her paws on, food, and toys. She is grateful and not picky at all. She doesn't mind things that most other dogs commonly dislike, like cleaning her ears, cutting her nails, bathing, and brushing her teeth with no problem. She is laid back, easy going and cooperative. She is very happy to get any attention at all, no matter what kind of attention it is. She gets excited when she sees other dogs, but beyond that she is a cool cucumber. Background: Alvida was found as a stray and taken to the Harris County Shelter. She was fostered by someone who wants to get her more attention by potential adopters. So she was signed up as an official GNAR dog by her foster home to help her find her forever home.
