My story

Meet Fillmore! Fillmore entered Palmdale Animal Care Center as a stray, and when he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on January 8th to become a Frosted Face. We estimate he is 9 years old, and he weighs 64 lbs. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle dog who loves people and is ready to go on adventures, Fillmore could be the one for you! While he waits for a forever family, Fillmore has been living in a foster home. Here’s what we’ve learned about him: “Fillmore is the perfect mix of fun and easygoing. He is well-socialized, obedient, and a joy to be around! He has good house manners and understands boundaries. Fillmore loves food and has no food aggression. He is potty-trained and has had no accidents in the house. He loves car rides and loves to go on walks, play fetch, and play with his toys. Our neighbors have dogs that bark at him through the fence. At first, Fillmore would respond by barking back, but with time and consistency, he’s learned to stay calm and ignore them. Now, he’s unbothered and just walks away—he’s really well-behaved and knows not to engage. Fillmore loves when my husband's family comes over—he’s very friendly, especially with my 4-year-old nephew. He’s a wonderful dog with a sweet and gentle temperament. We’ve taken him to the grocery store, and he behaves very well in public. He used to pull on the leash, so we initially used a harness, but with consistent training, he now walks calmly by our side without pulling. Fillmore is a loyal, friendly companion who just wants to be near his people and be part of a loving family.” Please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule an appointment to meet this most deserving boy!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fillmore, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
