My story

AceDon`t be fooled by my perky, social butterfly-appearing photos. Yes, I am a handsome young man at 2-years-old. And I look like a real party animal. On December 20, my brother and I were surrendered to HSHC because our owner lost their home. My bro, Spade, got adopted, but I am still waiting. However, the reason for my more extended residence is I AM INCREDIBLY SHY! I lived at the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe for a while but spent all my days hiding from the public. Then I moved into Roaming Room 1 with three roommates, and I prefer to stay out of the action, curled up in a wall cubby or a Kitty Kasa. When the interviewer lady (IL) tried to befriend me, I scooted backward into my spot. I would not sniff her finger, and when she attempted to come closer, I hissed at her to make her go away. And I don`t enjoy hissing! I am not a mean guy. I would love to feel relaxed and happy with people. So, it was decided that I should transfer to a foster home to learn the ropes of being a contented kitty cat. My foster parent reports that I have become more sociable since moving into my special room. I have a lot of potential, but I need an owner who can help me gain confidence and believe in my lovableness. (Is that a word?) If you are a patient person who would love to help me on my journey to social butterflyness (I KNOW that is not a word), please take me home with you. 2-24-25

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ace, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
