My story

Hey! Anyone out there a sucker for Roses? Well, I have good news for you! This beautiful Rose is looking for a home to call her own! I’ve been here at the shelter for over a year now, and I’m ready to find a family that will love me just as much as I will love them. I was surrendered because I could be a little nippy with the kids in my previous home, but I could live with older, respectful kids who understand my need for space and can help me feel safe and secure. I’m a sweet, affectionate girl who’s incredibly loyal to the people I trust! Once I know you, I’m all about cuddles and affection! I can be a bit wary of strangers at first – I need time to feel comfortable – but once I warm up, you’ll see my true, loving side! I don’t get along with cats, and I would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Some dogs overwhelm me, so I’d thrive in a home where I’m the sole canine companion and can get all your attention. I’m also a fantastic walker! I love getting out and about, and a nice stroll or hike would be perfect for me. I’ve been working hard on my reactivity with other dogs, and I’ve come a long way! I’m a work in progress, but with a patient, loving family who will continue to help me grow, I know I can thrive. I’m looking for a home where I can feel safe, get lots of love, and continue to work on my confidence.
