*** Bearrington is at Cat & Craft in Vista. ***Bearrington #19486: Gray/black tabby, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 5/9/24Cats: best with a wrestling partner!Dogs: unknownChildren: respectful kidsBACKGROUND: Bearrington was found by himself as a kitten by a Good Samaritan. She took care of him for several months but was unable to keep him permanently due to a travel-heavy work schedule. She reached out to The Rescue House so we can help connect Bearrington with a happy and loving home.PERSONALITY: This teenage boy lives to play! The key to Bearrington’s heart is to play with him. He can startle with unexpected noises and movements while getting adjusted, but warms up once he gets to know his people and playtime is the way to go (along with food… mmm, food, especially after a rousing wand game). He loves when you are part of the fun and he will bring you his toy on a string to ask you to entertain him. He’ll jump and chase his toys around; he enjoys many toys, but a simple paper towel cardboard bore can amuse him for hours, especially if you attach a string to it. Bearrington does really well with someone that works from home or is around a lot of the time. While he’s often too busy to settle in for cuddles in the evening and he asks that you pet him starting behind his head or on the side of his face with your hand coming from below and not over the top of it, Bearrington still wants you to be nearby and will settle next to your hip for pets. He will be waiting for you when you arrive home with his purr motor on high and you can give him a big bear hug then… it’s the BEST welcome home routine. At night, he’ll hog the bed. COMPATIBILITY: Bearrington really enjoys having feline playmates (he’s great with Delaney!) and turns playtime into WWE wrestling, though if his friend isn’t in the mood, he’ll accept it and find other entertainment or attention. He has briefly been around dogs, but they weren’t cat-friendly and thus he had limited exposure. Bearrington needs adaptation time, but once he figures it all out then he does well with respectful people of all ages. Bearrington (also lovingly known as Bear Bear) is hoping to find his perfect match: someone who likes to play as much as he does, will let him decide when it’s time for affection, and will take great care of him. Will he find his dream home with you?
