My story

Meet Naomi! This sweet 7.5-year-old lady is a little bit chonky at 57 pounds, but that only adds to her lovable, snuggly charm. Naomi is the perfect balance of play and relaxation. She has medium energy and enjoys her playtime with toys (especially the ones she gets to destroy – but don’t worry, she’s not a stuffing eater!). She loves spending time with her canine foster sibling, but what Naomi really loves most is snuggling. Whether it’s curling up with her foster mom, dad, or canine brother, she’s always up for a cozy doggy pile and will never pass up a good cuddle session. Naomi is an easygoing girl on leash – she’s strong for the first few minutes, but settles into a steady pace with just a bit of mild pulling. She’s also crate trained and does well with strangers, making her a well-mannered companion. Naomi is treat-motivated, which might explain her adorable curves, and she rides well in the car, too. If you're looking for a loving and affectionate companion to keep you warm on chilly nights, Naomi just might be the perfect match. Naomi gets along very well with her canine foster brother. She does best with buddy walks to introduce herself. We always encourage slow introductions to ensure smooth transitions! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match.
