My story

Rocco has been described as a true gentleman by those who know him. We think that his distinguished good looks, whip-smart mind and affectionate nature make him the TOTAL PACKAGE!A community member cared for Rocco for four weeks after finding him as a stray. They shared that he was an affectionate, smart and food-motivated boy who loves toys and knows “sit.” In another short-term home he was good with young children, house trained and walked well on leash. He is a playful dog who loves toys, affection, and being close to his humans.A volunteer friend shared: “Rocco met me at the door with a very waggy tail and was eager to get started on his walk. He started his walk like a true gentleman and didn’t pull at all. He was very excited to show me how good he is with his “sit.” We just started practicing his “down.” During the walk he showed very little interest in other dogs, preferring to sniff everything he could. He was affectionate yet very gentle. I cannot stress enough what a gentleman he was on his leash, just a pleasure to spend time with. I also think he is very trainable on commands.”Rocco would like meet any potential furry roommates before going home to ensure a good fit.
