My story

The volcanic activity in Hawaii is a pretty big deal, but Kilauea has some competition- meet Lava!! This sweet pooch has gone from scaredy cat to playful goofball during his time in the shelter and has even become a day trip regular! He’s been described as energetic, friendly, sweet, lovable, and smart. “Lava quickly adjusted to his environment with guidance and is quick to show affection.”“Lava could benefit from getting out more! He is super lovable and once he is calm, he`s easygoing! With some more work, and socialization/training, he will do fantastic!”“Lava is very food motivated, a super sweet boy, and a quick learner.”Lava loves toys and pup cups and would love to head to a patient home where he can continue to build confidence. He’s been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup and is super playful with his kennelmate. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit.
