My story

Meet Rocky Magee! Rocky was brought to Pasadena Humane Society after his guardian passed away. and there were no family members who were able to take him in. Even though Rocky's world had been turned upside down, shelter staff and volunteers noted that he was still a joyful dog who got the zoomies in their play yard. We scooped up Rocky on November 30th to become a Frosted Face. He is 13 years old, weighs 64 lbs., and is a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. He deserves the most loving home where he can spend his golden years! Rocky currently lives in a Foster home. Here is what we have learned from his foster mom: “Rocky is gentle and curious with dogs of all sizes and has met our cat with respect for her space. He loves people, but he’s not demanding of attention—he’s just happy to be near you. Mild-mannered and relaxed, Rocky doesn’t bark (being deaf has its perks!), and he is perfectly content in quiet, peaceful surroundings. He’s also quite independent and would be happy in a home where he can enjoy his personal space while still being loved and cared for. At home, Rocky is content and relaxed. He’s never tried to get up on furniture and is respectful of closed doors and gates. He’s also happy to roam around on his own, though he follows us around the house before settling wherever he feels comfortable. Rocky loves to walk and explore the world around him, though his hind end doesn't always cooperate as much as he’d like. We protect his feet with boots due to some dragging, but that doesn't stop him from wanting to say hello to every person and pooch he meets. He enjoys lounging in the backyard and has a blast at the off-leash dog park. He has bursts of energy where he’ll happily play with our 3-year-old terrier mix.” If you're looking for a calm, easygoing companion who will be your loyal friend, Rocky could be the perfect match for you.
