My story

Meet Snoopy Doo! Snoopy Doo entered Pasadena Humane Society as a stray and wasn't claimed. We scooped him up on November 30th to become a Frosted Face. Snoopy Doo is super sweet and friendly, enjoys the company of other dogs, does well with cats, and acts younger than his years. He is such a catch! Snoopy Doo lives with a wonderful Foster family, who has helped us learn what he is like in a home setting. They recently shared this updated: "Snoopy Doo is such a gentle, sweet, loving, and happy baby! We have been fostering Snoopy Doo since January and he has really settled in well in our home. We have two of our own dogs and he gets along really well with them. He is almost always wagging his tail, and loves to be pet and scratched all over. He will sit on command and also give you his paw for a shake... if you have food in hand. He is also a cuddle bug, he will sometimes come over to you for cuddles and will eventually fall asleep with you, whether it be on the couch, dog bed, or human bed. He usually wants to be in the room with someone. Snoopy Doo loves going on walks. He pulls only because he is excited, but it is manageable and he won’t run off. He is not reactive towards other dogs in general or during walks. He minds his business and is focused on the walk itself and is curious about his surroundings, smelling everything along the way. Snoopy Doo is very food-motivated, especially if it isn't his food! While we are eating, he puts his head on our thigh to make sure we know he's there, but he is on a diet so no table scraps for him! He also is sneaky and will try to eat the leftover kibbles from the bowls of our two other dogs if you aren't watching. To keep Snoopy Doo busy, we fill a treat-dispensing ball with kibbles which keeps him entertained for at least an hour. We also use snuffle mats and have even purchased two interactive dog treat puzzles for him. He loves these toys and is really good at getting his kibbles/treats out of the puzzle. When it comes to chews/treats that require some time to be chewed, we noticed he is a little defensive. Since he is food-motivated, we have also learned that we need to keep our trash cans hidden/closed. When I caught a cold, we learned the hard way that he's a fan of tissues! Snoopy Doo sleeps well throughout the night. He is potty trained and will let us know when he needs to go outside. He will stand by the door and paw at it to get your attention. He does drink a lot of water, so there are times when he asks to be out about hourly. There was a 2 week period where he had a few accidents (not sure why) while we were out at work. Besides these 2 weeks, we haven't experienced any accidents since. When Snoopy Doo is alone at home, he sometimes barks. We haven't experienced this too much since we do have our own dogs to keep him company. He only barks if he sees someone outside or hears our dog or a neighbor's dog barking, but it's not a problem and gentle redirection gets him to stop. He takes baths well and enjoys getting blow-dried (even when he doesn't get a bath). He is not a fan of having his teeth brushed, but our groomer has had success. Snoopy Doo gets one eye drop in both eyes twice a day, and he's taken his medicine really well after his recent cherry eye surgery... as long as it's wrapped in a piece of ham! Snoopy Doo has been such a joy to have and we are so grateful to be fostering him. We love him so much and are happy to have him with us until his forever family finds him." Might you be the forever family that Snoopy Doo is waiting for? To meet this loving, happy boy, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Snoopy Doo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
