My story

Hi there, I’m Elliot! I’m originally from down south, but now I’m soaking up the Minnesota lifestyle while I wait to find my forever home. Let me tell you a little about myself:I’m a gentle soul who is a little shy at first, but once I feel safe, my sweet and snuggly side really shines. I’m a HUGE fan of snuggling—whether that means curling up at your feet or plopping right on top of you for maximum coziness. I love to be right next to my human at all times!Some of my favorite things include cheese, chicken, and chewing on bones. I also love to run outside with my dog friends and play with toys! I’m also fascinated by running water; sinks, showers, and even toilets are like magic to me.I’ve got a knack for spotting birds and squirrels from the window, and I enjoy listening to soft jazz or classical music while I watch. I also love to chase birds in my yard! New noises are often scary to me so I prefer that my human comes outside with me also. At night, my snores might make you think I’ve just clocked out from a busy day at the office.If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, and slightly quirky companion to share your home (and maybe your favorite snacks), I’d love to meet you! Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.
