Eleanor was an outdoor cat her entire life until she was attacked by another animal (possibly raccoon or fox) and her leg had to be removed. Now a tripod living in a foster home, Eleanor is settling in just fine to an indoor-cat lifestyle. She can go up and down stairs and hop up on the couch next to you, but has yet to been seen on anything higher than 2 feet. For a lady who had been roughing it her whole life, Eleanor is sweet and gentle. She even waits patiently for her food at meal time. She would rather give you thankful headbutts than rush to her bowl. With all she’s been through, Eleanor deserves a life of plush beds and endless treats. However, she would like to be your one and only because other cats (with four legs) are a little too intimidating. Eleanor Delano Roosevelt is around 14 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. She is curious, gentle, independent, quiet, and smart. Eleanor qualifies for our Seniors for Seniors Foster Program.
