My story

Congaree is at our Adoption Center! You can visit our Adoption Center at any time during open hours, no appointment needed. Fill out our quick adoption survey on our website before visiting to streamline the process. Congaree is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized - Current receiving medicated baths to help soothe some skin irritation More about Congaree: Housebroken: Not yet, but working on it! She can be nervous outside, and will need to keep working on this with positive reinforcement and a consistent routine. Crate trained: She has done well with free roam when home alone for up to a few hours at a time, and overnight Leash walking: She has been working to build up her confidence outside and on walks, and would benefit from continuing to work on this! She may prefer a quieter neighborhood. Dog social: Has shown fearful behavior towards large dog but may be able to co-exist with other small, calm dogs. Cat social: Yes! She lives with a cat in her foster home and has been doing well after a proper intro period. Kid friendly: Congaree has shown some fearful behavior towards small children and would be a better match for kids ages 12+. Congaree likes: - Cuddling - Napping the day away in a warm, cozy spot - Being near her human Congaree is a comfort-loving girl who would stay inside sleeping on the couch all day if she could! She loves attention and will snuggle up closer to you and head-butt you for pets. Her favorite thing is to lay on a heat-pad and relax near her person. She's a very mindful & quiet girl who would love an adopter who can help her keep building up her confidence, especially with learning to feel safe going potty outside. Congaree's adoption fee is $300, and she is eager to snuggle up with her forever person!
