My story

Meet Rusty – Our Lovable Little Grump! 🧡 Rusty is a quirky, sweet senior guy with plenty of personality and even more love to give. At around 12 years old, he’s still got plenty of pep in his step and absolutely lives for backyard zoomies. If you let him, he’d probably run and sniff around outside all day long! 🚀🌿 Rusty walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys car rides, and is very food motivated (which makes training a breeze!). He’s housebroken, crate-trained, and sees his crate as a cozy, safe place to relax. While he may be a bit slow to warm up to new people, once he feels safe, he becomes your little shadow, always nearby and ready to snuggle. He loves to be held and is a total couch cuddler when it’s time to unwind. 🛋️💤 Rusty has done well with other dogs he's met, especially with slow and respectful introductions. He does guard his food, so mealtime is managed by feeding him in his crate—a simple solution that works great! Because of this, we’re recommending a home without small children. He’s got a bit of a bum back leg—vets agree it’s an old injury that can’t be fixed—but you’d never know it by watching him play. It doesn’t slow him down one bit! 🐾💪 If you’ve got a soft spot for senior dogs with a little sass and a lot of heart, Rusty might just be your perfect match. He’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh, melt your heart, and become your most loyal little buddy. Ready to give this charming old man the loving home he deserves? ❤️
