My story

Hi there! I’m Mona and I’m eagerly searching for my forever home! I might be a little shy at first, but once you get to know me, you’ll discover I’m bursting with love and playful energy! I was rescued as a stray in Yuma and now I’m happily safe at Central Arizona Animal Rescue eagerly waiting for my special family to bring me home! Here’s a bit about me: I am a playful pup! I absolutely love playing tag with my kennel buddies, especially my best friend Gordo! We have a fantastic time together! I can’t wait to meet new friends if my new family already has another dog! I absolutely adore Treats! They say food is the way to a man’s heart, but Treats are the way to this girl’s heart! With a sprinkle of patience and a delightful assortment of yummy snacks I’ll be your cheerful companion in no time! I have a mischievous spirit! I might be a little cautious around new people but once I warm up. I absolutely adore a lively game of Tag with my fellow dog pals, and I'm known to burst into a delightful case of “Zoomies” and I'm filled with playful mischief once I build that trust with you! I am the Perfect Size: I’m a delightful small shepherd mix weighing in at around 25 to 30 pounds—just the perfect size for endless cuddles and exciting adventures! I am Healthy and Ready to go, I’m fixed, up-to-date on all my vaccinations and microchipped. I’m all geared up to join your loving family! I would do best in a home with patient adult Members to start with, maybe some kids later on. A calm and understanding household that can give me the time to settle in.  I need to build trust and feel secure. I will need help learning how to walk on a leash too! I absolutely thrive with other dogs! Having friendly furry friends around would be amazing! They can teach me all the fun things and help me feel right at home while we all have a blast playing together! I need a secure Yard. A wonderful safe enclosed yard where I can run and joyfully play tag would be absolutely perfect, I absolutely love my outdoor time and can’t wait to explore a secure space full of fun If you’re searching for a delightful playful and loyal friend, I’m your girl, come meet me at Central Arizona Animal Rescue and let’s embark on our fantastic adventure together To set up an appointment to meet me, just e-mail mike@caaronline.org and ask about me, Mona!
