My story

Hi, I’m Gizmo—and I’m pretty sure I was made out of love and cuddles.I may not be able to see the world around me, but I feel everything—and trust me, I’ve got a heart that works overtime. I absolutely love being close to my people. Cuddling, napping on you, giving (and receiving!) kisses—those are my favorite things. I even give myself little baths while snuggled up with you.I get along great with cats, dogs, and kids—I really do love everyone! I also love food (so don’t be surprised if I always know when mealtime hits), and when I’m feeling playful, I hop around like a bunny, full of joy and curiosity.Because I’m blind, I do need a few accommodations: I shouldn`t be outside unless supervised, I’d prefer if furniture doesn’t get moved around too much, and I’m safest when not allowed to climb high surfaces. But don’t worry—I navigate my world like a pro, and I’ll always find my way back to you.If you’re looking for a constant companion who gives unconditional love and sweet bunny hops, I’m your guy. Let’s be each other’s favorite everything.My adoption fee of $25 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
