My story

Meet Cleo! This affectionate, well-rounded lady is ready to brighten your days. Somehow, she keeps getting overlooked—but once you meet her, you’ll wonder how. Cleo is a total goofball who keeps staff and volunteers laughing, yet she’s also gentle, sweet, confident (especially when it comes to her swimming skills!), and incredibly smart. She’s dreaming of a summer full of backyard zoomies, trail walks, and snuggles with a family of her own. Cleo is always up for an adventure—running errands, hitting the trails, hopping in the car, or curling up at your feet. She rolls over for belly rubs, leans in for pets, and even tries her best as a lap desk 🤣 (scroll through her pics!). She’s never met a stranger, and when it’s time to play, she’s all about tug, soccer balls, and squeaky toys—she even shares them nicely with her doggy pals. Oh—and did we mention she’s a TV star? Cleo recently appeared on Furever Friday on Boston 25, stealing the spotlight with her sunny smile and signature cow-like spots. Lately, Cleo’s been soaking up the warmer weather and getting into full summer mode: 💦 She had an absolute blast swimming on a field trip to Canine New England's indoor pool - she was impressing all of the pool staff with her laps! 🐾 She’s found a best friend in Horton, an adoptable Husky at the shelter - the two have become an adorable duo! 🌲 She loves field trips to Hopkinton State Park, where she enjoys wading through streams, and going through the trails.
