You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Meet Griff, a stunning Great Pyrenees with that classic Pyr look we all adore—long, soft, luxurious white fur that's just begging to be brushed (and lucky for you, he absolutely loves it!). This handsome gentleman may have been a failed livestock guardian dog, but he's succeeded spectacularly at being the bestest dog, according to his foster mom, who believes he "deserves all the love and attention a human can hold in their heart!" Griff is a sweet, affectionate boy who's a bit shy when meeting new people, but once he warms up at his own pace, his loving personality shines through. He will bark to let you know when visitors arrive, and then retreat to his safe space—he just needs time to build trust. This low-energy pup enjoys leisurely walks on leash with a zoomie thrown in here and there for fun, and he's perfectly content splitting his time between lounging indoors and hanging out in the yard. A 6-foot fenced-in yard would be awesome, or he could be in a leash-walk only home. When it comes to companions, Griff shows no interest in outdoor cats and can coexist with a female dog who matches his mellow energy level—he's just not a fan of rough-and-tumble play. He'd prefer a peaceful home without children, as their high energy would likely be too much for this gentle soul. Griff loves walks, car rides, and simply being with his human. He has some quirky preferences: he dislikes soft fluffy dog beds, avoids getting wet, and—most adorably—won't eat until you leave the room! He's not particularly food motivated, so his perfect snack remains a mystery - Are you up for the challenge in finding his favorite munchies?! This dog travels with a Interstate Health Certificate required by the USDA confirming that all the above criteria have been met. Housebroken: Unknown, but keeps his outdoor area clean. Can be Placed With: Low-energy Large Female Dogs, Cats, Teenage Kids.  Fencing: Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed. Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues.
