Sailor

My story

My foster writes:Sailor's foster mom here! I have had Sailor for about 7 months now and I've definitely learned a lot about his big, goofy personality. If you want a companion cat that will bring you frequent comic relief, I encourage you to consider adopting Sailor. He's not your traditional lap cat, but he definitely wants to be by his favorite human's side at all times and loves being pet on his head. Anytime I'm working from home, he's stretched out on the rug beside me napping away, making it easy for me to take short "cat breaks." During play time, he'll go crazy for a wand toy or will bat the ball around on his own. I've recently learned that Sailor also enjoys watching "cat TV" on YouTube (and, sometimes, the washing machine). He is not a picky eater when it comes to wet and dry food, but the only things he's not a fan of are dry treats (he just loves his Churu!) Sailor is friendly towards strangers and will often follow visitors around the apartment. I have a feeling that this interest will translate to other cats (and potentially dogs), with the right introduction!Some other important information about Sailor:- He doesn't really "meow" but communicates mostly with chirps and trills.- While he is not a lap cat, he is fine being picked up and held (as long as he gets head and cheek scratches).- I have taught him to not wake me up too early for breakfast, so you should not have any issues sleeping in, if you want (he also won't bother you in the middle of the night).- He is good at grooming himself and always uses his litter box!- Sailor has never jumped on a counter before so your kitchen and tables are safe.Please consider adopting this goofball and giving him his forever home!
