You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Falcore is a big lovable goof that loves to run and play, and then crash next to his human. Being outside is his FAVORITE, so having a human that also loves the outdoors would be icing on the cake. Speaking of cake… He’s very food motivated and therefore easy to train. He already knows his basic commands, is crate trained (though he’d rather not use it), and walks well on leash (and learning not to pull). Falcore likes to drag his blankets around with him, and then settle in for a chew on a good bully stick or antler. More of his favorite things include being brushed, riding in the car, and going for walks and hikes. Do you have kitties?! - If so, Falcore would love to meet them, as he's great with cats! He currently lives with four and generally ignores them, but will allow them to rub on him. The outdoor stray cats however, they deserve to get barked at - he is a typical Pyr guardian and alert barker. This fun guy likes to play with other dogs, but when not playing, he is very chill and laid-back inside. He is submissive with other dogs, getting along with all of them, sharing toys and waiting his turn for treats or food. This sweet boy is shy with new people, taking some time to warm up. He will hang out in the other room until he feels comfortable. When on walks or in public, he accepts pets from people. At home with his own humans, he adores being cuddled and petted! An ideal home for Falcore would be where he could get lots of outdoor time in a 5-foot fenced yard. And another dog to play with would be great! This dog travels with a Interstate Health Certificate required by the USDA confirming that all the above criteria have been met. Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues.
