My story

Paw Paw is a true Southern gentleman with a heart as big as WV At 9 years young, Paw Paw has spent his days roaming the streets of a small WV town, charming everyone he met but never finding a family to call his own.  Why Paw Paw Stands Out Paw Paw walks with a slight drag to his rear paw—a badge of resilience from an old, untreated injury. But don’t let that fool you: his spirit is unbreakable, and his signature smile never fades. He’s the definition of easygoing: give him regular meals (he’s a true connoisseur and can sniff out a cookie from a mile away), a couple of leisurely strolls each day, and a soft bed to rest his brown-eyed head, and he’s content.  Paw Paw is a social butterfly, getting along with dogs, kids, and people alike. But if you’re looking for a one-and-only companion, he’s just as happy being your solo sidekick—people are truly his jam.  A Gentle Soul with a Comical Streak Paw Paw’s gentle nature is matched only by his knack for comedy. He’s been known to get himself into a pickle or two—like the time he got stuck in a plant stand in his foster home. His clumsy antics are sure to bring laughter to your life.  House trained and trustworthy, Paw Paw doesn’t need a crate as long as his environment is “Paw Paw-proofed”—just keep food out of reach and plant stands off the floor!  What Paw Paw Needs: A loving home where he can be "himself: laid back, affectionate and occasionally silly.
