My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.This good girl hasn't had an easy life. We're pretty sure she spent the first 2 years of her life as a feral dog depending on trash or the kindness of people for food. Well she's far from feral now! Ginger is being doted on by her foster Dad and she has made incredible progress.  She is walking on a leash and trying to get her foster siblings to play.  She enjoys being around her foster's grandkids.  Once Ginger started on a low dose anti anxiety medication, she came out of her shell.  Fortunately, this is a low cost RxGinger does have a treatable condition called Polycythemia Vera.  This is a condition that causes too high of a red blood cell count.  The treatment is blood letting every 6-8 weeks.  With this simple treatment, Ginger will lead a normal happy life.  If Ginger's adopter continue to use our veterinarian, there is a grant set up to pay for the treatment of her condition.Can you find it in your heart to help this good girl?  She will love you with her whole heart.Adoption Fee:  $200Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 19, 2025, 12:46 pm
