My story

Pomona, CA We are delighted to introduce you to Tito, a wonderful little dog from a Riverside shelter who is now seeking his forever home. This exceptionally active boy, estimated to be around six years old, would make a fantastic companion for someone with an active lifestyle who can provide him with regular walks and opportunities for play. Interestingly, he responds with great enthusiasm to the name Batman, although his name is Tito. He came to our rescue at the same time as another dog we named Carlos, and within our organization, they are affectionately known as Carlos Santana and Tito Fuentes. Tito possesses a truly playful nature. He particularly enjoys squeaky toys and balls, and he will happily engage in a game of fetch for extended periods if given the chance. While we initially suspected a strong bond between Tito and Carlos, they appear to be quite independent. Unfortunately, we have no background information on their lives before arriving at the shelter, as they were listed as confiscated and were exclusively available to rescue organizations. Although Tito may exhibit some initial shyness when meeting new people, he quickly becomes playful and affectionate once he feels comfortable. He also interacts well with other dogs. In his foster home, he lives with a cat who is considerably larger than him. While Tito has occasionally attempted to chase the cat, she remains unfazed and does not run, which discourages him. Tito will bark when he sees strangers; however, he responds well to verbal reassurance and will stop barking once acknowledged with a simple "Thank you, I see him/her." One of Tito's great joys is spending time outdoors, where he loves to follow the sun's path across the yard. It is important to note that Tito experienced a significant allergic reaction to his rabies vaccination, so any prospective adopter should be aware of this sensitivity. He weighs approximately 10 pounds and has already been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Occasionally, Tito can be a little territorial regarding his personal items, such as his bed and blanket, preferring not to share them. Despite this minor trait, he is truly a good-natured dog who we believe would thrive with an active individual or family. While he enjoys being out and about, he is also well-behaved indoors and often enjoys relaxing on the couch. As he tends to eat very quickly, he is fed from a special bowl designed to slow his eating. He also delights in having energetic bursts of activity, which we call "zoomies." We are confident that in the right loving home, Tito will continue to flourish and show even more of his wonderful personality. If you believe that Tito would be a perfect fit for your family and you can offer him the active life he needs, we encourage you to contact us for further information or to arrange a meeting. www.gunterslegacy.org ##2163184##
