He prefers to interact with people on his terms and is reserved around unfamiliar individuals, sometimes displaying defensive behaviors. He was tolerant of handling but required treats to engage.Dusty is naturally curious and takes time to explore his environment and the people around him before fully trusting them, which is typical for his age. He startled easily and showed tense body language; he hard-stared, waiting to see what we would do. Invitations to play made him fearful, though he showed some interest in toys. He demonstrated no resource guarding with food and appeared generally disinterested in eating.Despite seeking distance from people, Dusty showed interest in meeting our tester dog.
