My story

Meet Milady: A Survivor's Heart with Boundless Love! Do you remember Milady? Once found scrounging for food near a dumpster, emaciated and covered in bumps, bite marks, and even bearing the scar of a bullet in her crooked front leg, Milady’s story is one of true resilience and hope. Milady’s Miraculous Transformation: Today, Milady is nothing short of a miracle—a love bug who cherishes the safety and warmth of a home. Her recovery has been remarkable, blossoming into a dog who adores life’s simple pleasures. She has retained her puppy-like joy for play, perfectly balanced with an equal love for snuggling up close to anyone who wants to give her attention. A Heart That Loves Deeply: Milady would thrive as the sole pet, basking in the attention and love of her human family. However, she’s also demonstrated the potential to coexist with another dog, thanks to a successful stint in a temporary foster home. A patient introduction could help Milady live in harmony with another dog- but it would need to be done slowly as she clearly has scars from scary experience in the past of dogs attacking her. Ideal Home for Milady: This brave girl is looking for a forever home where she can be the center of your world. She’s perfect for someone who appreciates the loyalty and affection that come from a dog who has seen the toughest days but has emerged with love and trust intact. Why Choose Milady? Choosing to adopt Milady means giving a underdog the happily ever after she deserves. You’re not just adopting a pet; you’re welcoming a family member who brings profound joy and gratitude into your life. Her transformation from a survivor to a thriving companion is a journey of love and courage that will inspire and enrich your life every day. Apply Now to Bring Milady Home: She’s ready to fill your days with love, play, and endless cuddles. Don’t miss the chance to be a part of her incredible story. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home and we want our adopters to be prepared for that! If you have any questions or would like to adopt Milady, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
