Cedar

My story

Meet Cedar! Cedar entered the San Diego Humane Society-Gaines Street Campus as a stray, and when she wasn't claimed, we scooped her up to become a Frosted Face. Cedar is sweet, friendly, and allegedly 14 years old, but she can hike for miles! She rides in the car quietly and takes treats gently, too. Sadly, Cedar been returned to us twice over the past 2 years, most recently for being uncomfortable around a new young toddler. She deserves a true forever home - might it be with you? Cedar would love a home with someone who is home often or can take her along most of the time. Life is too short - spend it with Cedar! She would love some walks but is also a champion snuggler. Cedar interacts well with other dogs and has gotten along with the dogs in her three foster homes. She prefers to not to have her face approached closely and will bark or grumble to let dogs know politely to please back up. Cedar has also been tested with cats on-site and in her foster homes and passed with flying colors! After Cedar recently returned from a two-week Frosted Fling, her fling mom shared: "Cedar is a doll! She likes riding in the car, going to the park, and taking naps. She loves being with her person and is happiest when in their presence. She's delightful to be around and very sweet. She gets along well with other animals, cats included. Cedar eats well and sleeps through the night. She's got pep in her step when you take her for walks. She enjoys in/out privileges and understands how to use a doggie door. We're so hopeful she'll find a family that is primarily home-based (or able to take her with them where they go), so that she can remain in their presence and be loved on all the time, which she deserves!"
