Parmasan

My story

Parmesan and his brother, Cayenne, were born with a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). Their mother was very sick during pregnancy and this caused the cerebellum, which controls movement, not to be fully developed, creating balance issues. CH does not get better or worse and has absolutely no impact on health or longevity. Also known as “wobble cat syndrome”, CH seems to make these cats especially sweet and loving. Parm and Cayenne will do best with carpeted areas to help them stabilize, extra padding around sharp corners, and to be protected from stairs and other heights. (They can climb and pull themselves up to a shelf and can jump down, just not gracefully.) They use the litter box well but sometimes scatter litter and dry food. Parmesan and Cayenne are a bonded pair and should be adopted together. They often sleep snuggled next to each other and respond to play and stimulation together. Cayenne was pretty spicy as a kitten, running and playing and bouncing off of everything in sight. But once playtime is done, he loves to cuddle up to his human and nuzzle and purr up a storm. Parmesan Is a little reserved, preferring to watch for a bit before warming up to you. He loves being held and stroked, and his purr will leave you in no doubt that he loves the attention, and you. You could look long and hard and not find two sweeter cats to help make your house a home.
