CarrotitoI`ve lived a life that could grace the pages of People Magazine (or at least Cat Magazine)! In April 2019, I was found as a stray in Noblesville, a mere 1-year-old with a bite wound on my right rear leg that needed urgent treatment. My journey took a turn when I was diagnosed with FIV+.* But I didn`t let that define me. Because I was (and still am) extremely good-looking with a marvelous personality, I was adopted as soon as I recovered from my wound. Imagine the staff`s surprise when I reappeared as a stray cat in July 2024! To top it all off, my owner did not want to reclaim me. Too bad for him because my foster mom (a VIP at the HSHC) says I am seriously the sweetest guy! I am now 7-years-old, neutered, with excellent litterbox skills. I have many endearing qualities. I get along famously with my foster family`s German Shepherd. I`m learning how to navigate on a cat harness and leash. I must be supervised while roaming the territory, but it`s very exciting! I am an avid bird and squirrel watcher, always ready at the window with my kitty binoculars. Give me a screened window by which I can perch, and I`m a happy fellow. Because I have no teeth now, I must eat wet food only. But this is no big deal...I LOVE food! I am also known for my melodious purr stylings. Which I do pretty much all the time. I am an affectionate fellow obsessed with rubbing against you to show my love. If you are in the market for an orange and white lovebug with lots of life to live, please contact the HSHC to meet me! 5-16-25*[FIV is a virus found only in cats that can lower a cat`s immune system. It can`t be transmitted to people, dogs, or other animals. It isn`t transferred through bowls, litterboxes, toys, bedding, sneezing, or casual contact. I can live a long, happy life even with FIV- cats, with regular vet visits and a healthy diet.]
