My story

My name is Ducky and I am going to make a truly wonderful family dog. I am still learning a lot of basic commands and manners but for the most part, I am already an all-around amazing girl. I love my humans, food and treats, and tennis balls. I like other dogs but I enjoy them the most from a short distance. I do enjoy a couple of good romps with my foster sibling (a mixed breed dog) but then I’m ready for quiet time again. I am a calm, laidback, and easy-going girl but I can get excited and playful, especially if you pull out a tennis ball or two. (I’m essentially the best of both worlds – I can be playful and excited but can also settle really easily and snooze the day away.) I love walks and am a very good walker who does not pull and who has a very low prey drive. I keep hearing people use the word “sweet” when they talk about me but I’m also smart, athletic, and a definite people-pleaser. I enjoy cuddling but I don’t need to cuddle all the time. I am content laying on the floor near you but will come over to you, looking for some love from time to time. I would like at least one long walk or a couple of shorter walks each day and most definitely require some time to play catch and fetch with a tennis ball. I’m a gorgeous girl who is ready to find my forever family who will love me. I need a family who will commit to continued training to make me the very best version of myself. Whoever adopts me will definitely be one “Lucky Ducky.”

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ducky, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
