My story

Kai (fka Ace) was rescued from the urgent list just in the nick of time and we're overjoyed this handsome brindle boy has found his way to our rescue! Kai’s previous foster shared this: "Within the first couple of days of fostering Kai, it became clear that he was one of the sweetest, most gentle pups I have ever met. Whether he's nestled for snuggles on the couch or chasing after his favorite toys, Kai thrives on human companionship and affection. Kai is also a fantastic travel companion, enjoying long drives where he leans in for neck scratches and happily sticks his head out the window to catch the breeze. He would be an ideal fit for an active family or individual who loves outdoor adventures and spending time in nature. Kai is a pup with balanced energy and can sleep all day as long as he gets good exercise in to get his medium to high energy levels out. He would love plenty of stimulation and space to run. He loves learning new tricks for some tasty meaty treats and currently is familiar with: sit/stay, down/stay, paw, touch, middle, speak, spin, balancing on different objects/stools, recall command, and heel. He can get his energy out with agility courses or learning fun sniff work with his great nose! While he loves snoozing and quiet moments, he is also great on the leash! He may sometimes get excited on walks and pull a bit; however, he listens well when asked to slow down, adjust his pace; he’ll typically stop when you stop and go when you go! And on almost every walk, Kai tucks his ears back in embarrassment when people compliment his handsome coat! Kai’s current foster says: “He has loved pets and interactions with every stranger he has met of all ages, sizes, and genders! Everyone who meets Kai says he has such sweet eyes and they are right because they match his personality. As a previous dog walker and sitter, Kai is one of the best dogs I have ever met and will forever be a best friend. He will love any family who is patient with him as he continues to blossom.”
