My story

Meet Cloud, a brave and resilient medium-sized mixed breed dog from India who is searching for his forever home. Cloud has been through a lot—he’s undergone extensive orthopedic surgery and is currently receiving physical therapy. He’s a distemper survivor, which means he has some involuntary twitches, but that doesn’t slow him down! Cloud is full of personality and comes with a few behavioral quirks that require an experienced adopter. He has a strong bark and is very vocal, making him best suited for a house rather than an apartment. He also struggles with resource guarding, so his adopter should have experience managing behavioral challenges with patience and understanding. Cloud thrives in the company of other dogs and does best in a home with a canine companion. He currently lives with cats and enjoys playing with them, so a home with dog-savvy cats would be ideal. Due to his sensitive condition, he needs careful handling, especially around his backside, so a gentle and patient adopter is essential. If you have experience with dogs with behavioral needs and can provide Cloud with the structured, loving environment he deserves, please reach out. Let’s find this special boy the perfect home! If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cloud, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
