My story

Sir GusEven though I may look like a kindergartener`s first school photo, I`m nearly 12-years-old. I lived with my family since kittenhood, and I was surprised to be surrendered to the HSHC. But I have diabetes, and some people don`t want to deal with that. Also, my front paws were declawed at some point, often resulting in pain when I walk. The staff here know I am a sweet fellow with a loving personality, and they can instruct you on how to manage my diabetes and deal with my sore paws. Managing my diabetes involves a specific diet and regular insulin injections, which may seem daunting at first, but the staff will provide all the necessary guidance and support. As for my sore paws, they may require some extra care and attention, but with TLC, I can live a comfortable life. I immediately approached the interviewer lady (IL) for some pets. I`ve never met a stranger. She enjoyed seeing my enthusiastic response to her loving attention. Yep, I just love being loved on and petted. I have a distinguished look about me due to my grey and white tabby coat. I will need your help resisting eating too many snacks to help me control my blood sugar. When you are looking at all the kittens in the rooms, remember that I am low-key, not crazy-playful, unlikely to disturb your sleep, and I appreciate a good nap! I do need an owner who is comfortable about managing my diabetes, so please consider this when thinking about adopting me. My foster mom reports that my diabetes is well controlled with diet and insulin. She is always happy to teach an adopter everything they need to know. My foster mom says I am a super friendly, outgoing gentleman with excellent litterbox skills. Can`t wait to meet you! 6-2-25
