Hi, I’m Xyla. I’m a sweet, sharp girl who’s always looking for something to do and someone to love on! I’ve got tons of energy and drive, so I need a person who can help me focus all that excitement in the right direction. I walk really well on a leash, but I do get very reactive around other dogs, so I need an experienced, confident human who can guide me and take control. I come on very strong when meeting other dogs, so any future doggy friends will have to be selective and just the right fit. I love interactive toys, puzzles, and anything that keeps my brain busy. I’ll thrive in a home that keeps me mentally and physically active. If you’re looking for a smart, active, and affectionate partner and you’ve got the experience to match my energy, come meet me!The highlights…-Very leash reactive-I am stronger than I look -I love people-I’ll make sure to keep you upbeat and activeKey points to know…-Commit to daily mental and physical exercise: High drive dogs need structured outlets for their energy.-Use positive, consistent training methods: Leash reactivity can improve with reward based training and desensitization.-Set up for success, not stress: Avoid busy dog-heavy areas at first, and use tools like front-clip harnesses or head halters for safety. Advocate for your dog by maintaining space and avoiding unexpected greetings.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Xyla, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
