My story

Meet Ruby, our graceful and gorgeous sweetheart who just wrapped up her “yearbook photos” with our volunteers and looked stunning in every shot! This calm and affectionate girl weighs a perfect 52 pounds and is the epitome of gentle companionship. Ruby’s not too interested in toys, but she’s all about people—loving attention and frequently checking in on her walks to make sure you’re with her. She’s polite with treats, taking them ever so gently, and her independent side shines when she’s exploring the yard at her own easygoing pace. Thanks to her Adoption Angel, Ruby’s adoption fee is covered, so if you’re looking for a loving, mellow friend to share your days, Ruby is ready to be your loyal companion!~~~~~The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org. Interested in fostering a dog in need? You can take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours, giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. Program runs daily starting at noon.
