My story

Meet Dende, a handsome 9-year-old with a heart of gold and a brain full of tricks! This smart senior is house-trained, knows a long list of commands (sit, stay, down, shake, dance, off, drop, no sir, go, ok, and even “hey, that’s the cats”), and can hold down the fort while you`re at work without any accidents.Dende loves everyone he meets and has a special talent for petting YOU if he feels he’s not getting enough love! He enjoys watching movies with animals, keeping you informed about visitors at the door, and soaking up all the affection he can get.Looking for a loyal, loving, and incredibly well-mannered best friend? Dende is your guy! The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org. Interested in fostering a dog in need? You can take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours, giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time.
