My story

Meet Ada, a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who came to Big Dog Ranch after being transferred in from a shelter in Alabama. Shortly after her arrival, she gave birth to 12 beautiful puppies—all of whom have since been adopted into loving homes. Now it’s Ada’s turn to find a forever family of her own. Ada has a moderate energy level and enjoys a good mix of playtime and relaxation. She loves toys, cuddles, and being close to her people, making her a sweet and affectionate companion. She gets along well with other dogs and would do well in a home with or without canine friends. Ada is still working on her basic training—this includes leash manners, house training, and learning basic commands—but she’s eager to learn and will thrive with some consistency and patience. She’s a great match for a first-time dog owner who’s ready to help her continue building confidence and skills.
