My story

Mei von Mellingen is a beautiful, 3-year-old German Shepherd. Tall, blonde and beautiful, Mei is a special girl. She is an excellent leash walker, always attentive to your pace and guidance. She’s also quite brilliant. Likely housebroken, she knows “sit” and “down” but is eager and ready to learn more, especially if there are lots of treats involved! Since Mei loves people and attention so much, she prefers to be your one and only pup. She’s not too into other dogs, so she’s looking for a home where she can have the space to continue to flourish. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
