My story

Exercise. Mental and physical exercise. Dogs of all sizes. People of all ages. Treats. Treats. Treats. KNOWN DISLIKES: Not known as of yet ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Leap Frog was adopted as a young puppy, but recently returned to us through no fault of his own—his owner was moving and couldn’t take him along. Despite the sudden change, Leap Frog has remained his sweet, playful self. He’s friendly with other dogs and absolutely loves being around people. Whether it’s playtime in the yard or relaxing next to you, Leap Frog just wants to be part of the fun. He’s still a young dog and will benefit from some basic training, but he’s eager to learn and be a great companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate dog with a great temperament, Leap Frog could be the perfect fit. 💚 From foster: He’s a typical one year old- energetic, but calms down with regular walks and consistent playtime. Middle of the road for his age. Couch and bed cuddler extraordinaire. Appreciates a good game of fetch. Can jump up three steps if his belly doesn’t knock him down. Kid friendly, but still playful enough that it’s best the kid is 9+ as he gets excited and really wants to jump up and play. Eager to learn. Learning to take car trips! Want a loyal velcro dog? He’s eagerly awaiting. HT ADOPTION INCLUSIONS: Spay/Neuter First 3 distemper series vaccines & de-wormings Microchip - lifetime with no registration fees Current on heartworm preventative Current on flea/tick preventative EXCLUSIVE ADOPTER BENEFITS: Free first exam with: Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Palisades Veterinary Clinic, Jermantown Animal Hospital and Clarendon Animal Care and all VCA Animal Hospitals (VCA offers $250 coverage - details provided) Free online workshop with a professional dog trainer at Fur-Get Me Not within the first 30 days of adopting (in DC/Arlington/Alexandria only) A portion of EVERY ADOOPTION fee supports spay/neuter for animals in under-resourced communities BE A FOSTER: Save a life: http://www.homewardtrails.org/foster-a-pet/dog-and-cat-foster-program.
