My story

Looking for a retirement buddy who still has some pep in her step? This spunky, well-behaved lady may be just what you need! Nana came to us after being abandoned in an eviction and is ready to live the good life after being in the shelter for well over 500 days. She did get adopted a couple of times for short periods but unfortunately, both adopters were senior citizens with health issues that prevented them from continuing to care for her. But that hasn’t stopped Nana from being a sweet, gentle, and affectionate soul who loves to be outside and explore, play tug-of-war, chase lizards and get ear scratches. And stuffy toys are her absolute FAVORITE. Housebroken, quiet, great with respectful older kids, she already knows several commands and while she isn`t fond of cats and can be picky about her canine playmates, she would probably do ok with another older or mellow dog given slow, careful introductions. Nana will steal your heart—come meet her today!
